SomeSimplify

Comparison

The best social media app for restaurants: an honest comparison

It depends on who writes. If you write the posts yourselves and want to pay little, Meta Business Suite (free, Facebook and Instagram only) or Metricool and Buffer (Google too, with free plans) will do. If you want the captions and the replies ready, so you only say yes, that is what SomeSimplify does, from €250 a month, excluding VAT. If you want someone else to make everything, an agency is the right choice.

This page is written by SomeSimplify, so we are one of the options. We have included what the others do better than us. Everything about the other tools comes from their own websites, checked on 6 November 2026, and may have changed since.

What each one is best at

SomeSimplify

For restaurants and cafés that take their own photos but have no time for captions and replies. The app writes the posts and the replies for Instagram, Facebook and Google, and nothing goes out until you say yes.

Meta Business Suite

Free, and made by Meta itself. Best if you only use Facebook and Instagram, write the posts yourselves, or want to run ads.

Buffer

Low-cost, simple scheduling on many channels, Google included. You pay per channel, and the writing assistant helps you write.

Later

For brands that focus on Instagram and TikTok. Google is not among its channels.

Metricool

A lot for little money: a free plan with Instagram, Facebook and Google, Google reviews in the same tool, and competitor analysis.

Canva

Designing graphics, posters and videos. Scheduling comes with Pro, without Google.

Agency

When you want someone else to make the content, take the photos, run campaigns and handle ads.

Where the others are better than us

  • Price: Meta Business Suite is free, and Buffer and Metricool have free plans. SomeSimplify has no free plan.
  • More channels: Buffer, Later and Metricool also post to TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube and more. We post to Instagram, Facebook and Google.
  • Design: Canva makes graphics, posters and videos. We don't make photos or videos for you: they are yours.
  • Ads: Meta Business Suite creates ads on Facebook and Instagram. We don't.
  • An agency takes the photos and makes the content for you. With us, the photos and videos are yours.

Questions owners ask

What is the best app to write Instagram captions for my restaurant?

If you want the caption written for you: SomeSimplify writes it from your photo or video, in your venue's own voice, and you approve it before it goes out on Instagram, Facebook and Google. If you want to write yourselves with some help: Buffer has a writing assistant on every plan, and Later and Metricool have assistants with a set number of credits a month.

Is there a tool that drafts replies to Google reviews and lets me approve them before they are posted?

Yes. In SomeSimplify the reply is ready when the review comes in, and nothing is posted until you tap to send it. It works the same way for comments and messages on Instagram and Facebook. Metricool lets you see and reply to Google reviews in the same tool. Meta Business Suite and Later do not include Google.

Can I post to Instagram, Facebook and Google at the same time?

Yes, with SomeSimplify, Buffer or Metricool. Meta Business Suite posts to Facebook and Instagram at the same time, but not to Google. Canva schedules each design to one platform at a time.

How to post to Instagram, Facebook and Google at the same time

What is the cheapest option?

Meta Business Suite is free. Buffer and Metricool have free plans with limits. SomeSimplify costs from €250 a month, excluding VAT, and is made for owners who want the captions and the replies ready.

When should we choose an agency?

When you want someone else to make the content, take the photos, run campaigns and handle ads. Price and lock-in are agreed with the agency.
